Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update |
On Tuesday, officers were conducting high visibility patrols in the town centre when PCSO Matt sighted a wanted individual that had failed to attend court. Officers from both NPT and Response attended to arrest the individual who was then further arrested for possession of a Class A drug.
On Thursday PC Tristan and PCSO Matt teamed up to spend some time on Ashley Road. We spotted a face that looked familiar on our identification sought and confirmed the individuals details, a stop search was also conducted that was negative. After finishing up an e-scooter went bombing past, we jumped in the car and caught up with it at the lights. The e-scooter was capable of reaching 40mph and would cause considerable damage to the rider and others in a collision. The scooter was seized under 165 of the Road Traffic Act for no insurance.
Thursday was a busy day as we also hosted 4 community engagements, PC Poppy attended a careers morning at Bishops Aldhelm's school, PCSOs Matt, Pete and Christine attended a scam and fraud prevention talk at Buckland Road Baptist Church, Inspector Lee attended a Poole business meeting and PCSOs Sam and Christine hosted a Community Contact Point (CCP) at Tower Park.
